Forced Framing
In photography, we frame our subjects whenever we click the shutter button. But when you put a physical frame within your work, it is sort of a joke sometimes, other times it is used to direct the audience's attention to the what we want them to look at.
These metaphorical frames are all around us, here are some examples:
Mirrors / Doorways / Windows / Phone cameras within photo / Hand frames / Natural Frames
The point of this exercise is for you to be observant of your surroundings and to use the frames you find in creative ways. Try to frame a tree outside your window with your window, Try to take a picture of a family member standing behind or in a doorway. Hand frame something jokingly.
Have fun with this and use the self-timer on your phones if you need to.
Aim to take 20 photos with forced frames.
